on these pages we will be posting photographs of local eyesores.

is your street a regular dumping ground for rubbish?

a hot spot for burned out vehicles?

a late night trouble spot?

either send us your photographs or details of your complaints and we'll do our best to get them documented and bought to the attention of the people concerned.

the first candidate is "dogsh*t alley" as several locals are known to call it.

this is a popular and regularly used footpath between albert road ( next to longs coal merchant ) and the car park at asda.

it is constantly full of rubbish and dog crap and no-one seems to take responsibility for it.

as far as we are aware at this time it is jointly owned by bassetlaw district council and british waterways and rather than come up with a shared responsibility to maintain it they both shirk their responsibility and the path becomes a dirty health hazard.

we are writing to both parties concerned to see if we can resolve this problem and get the alleyway cleaned on a weekly / monthly basis.
